Why the Same Mistakes
Recurring mistakes are habits. Habits are only broken by measurement plus friction. Trader Profile shows the habit; Decision Score adds friction; the loop compounds over months.
The mechanism
The first time you take a bad trade, it is a lapse. The tenth time, it is a habit. The neuroscience is well-established: repeated behaviour under specific triggers creates a shortcut in the basal ganglia that fires almost automatically.
Willpower does not undo a habit; it fights it — and loses over time. The only durable fix is to change the trigger, add friction between trigger and action, and measure the ratio of times you broke the habit vs kept it.
What to do
See it: Trader Profile lays out the recurring behavioural fingerprint — the setups you always overtrade, the times of day you always drift, the sizing shift after losses. Slow it: pre-committed rules add the friction. Score it: Decision Score measures the ratio of habit-broken to habit-kept.
The change is not overnight. It is compound. Every trade you break the habit on adds a datapoint. Enough datapoints and Trader Intelligence Score shifts.

FAQ
Because repeated behaviour becomes a habit, and habits fire automatically under specific triggers. Willpower fights habits; measurement plus friction re-wires them.
The behavioural signal is often visible in Emotion Score within 2-3 weeks and in Trader Intelligence Score within 8-12 weeks. Habits are compound work — small wins accumulate.
AI can help see the habit (via pattern detection in your log) and slow it (via pre-trade prompts). It cannot do the breaking for you — that is still the trader's work.
